for technology enterprises, to better understand the desktop complexity
challenges facing financial services organizations. The survey
results indicate that the majority of financial services organizations
have initiated an investment in Service-Oriented-Architecture (SOA),
but could benefit from a more rapid realization of their SOA vision.

Velociti Partners randomly surveyed IT and operational staff from 200
financial services organizations within a variety of industry
sub-segments including banking, investments and diversified financials.
Participants were asked a series of qualitative questions to
assess desktop application usage rates, adherence to best practices and
top problem areas. The survey results precisely quantified the
top desktop complexity challenges facing end-users and also provided
highly objective, 3rd party metrics and analysis on the broader
organizational challenges posed by poorly integrated applications and
manual processes. The findings strongly support OpenSpan's value
proposition and will be leveraged as a strategic tool in future sales
and marketing initiatives.
